REALITY CHECK

Reality Check

It's an infinite number of possibilities in an infinite number of worlds. As a writer, and a human being, I have always believed that anything your mind can imagine is possible, be it a computer than can store large amounts of information and yet, fit on a desk, or a method of communication that requires nothing more than a single thought.

That said, that's why I've always enjoyed writing and watching "Sliders". It's a show that allowed its characters to explore anything and everything. And boy, Wade was cute...

I'm just a fan. I'm a fan who was thrilled with the first two seasons, seeing a show that didn't talk down to its viewers and was willing to break new ground; to explore. That's not something easily found in television, or in "Sliders" after the third season. And with recent developments, I've come to wonder if what the fans want will ever come to pass.

So this is my vision. This is what I'd like "Sliders" to be, and what I believe it could have been. Is it still possible? Jerry O'Connell doesn't think so. But Bob Weiss is an awfully nice guy who's busy on a "Sliders" feature film, and Sabrina Lloyd (Wade Welles) has expressed interest in returning. Mr. Davies (Arturo) hasn't ruled it out.

But that's not important. Regardless of what happens to "Sliders" in the future, this is what I believe "Sliders" should have been. I'm not going to say that my stories are what the show should have done, but it should have remained true to what it was in the beginning.

I was extremely disappointed in the last few years of the show, and I think my fanfic here is something that many people will enjoy, because it works it's way into the continuity of the show perfectly. These stories that I've written here happened. In another existence, perhaps. But they're there.

Enjoy them.
